Meet Roger Owner, founder and designer of Solo Bambini eyewear! Children’s Eyeworks caught-up with Roger to hear more about the inspiration behind his successful children’s line.
Q: When was Solo Bambini founded?
A: Solo Bambini was founded in 1990!
Q: What inspired you to create Solo Bambini?
A: A trip to the Mido show in Milan with my brother where I met and connected with a manufacturer of children’s frames that I later represented in the U.S.A. Later, I saw the need for a different shape and better colors and so I designed and manufactured the Solo Bambini line.
Q: How did you come up with the beautiful colors we see in the line?
A: The colors come from the toys and candies that children like along with the clothing lines that appeal to the mothers.
Q: Solo Bambini was designed with whom in mind?
A: They were designed for the delicate features and comfort of the children, and the indestructibility for the mothers.
Q: What’s the single most important thing you would like parents to know about Solo Bambini?
A: Comfort and safety.
Q: What’s new from Solo Bambini?
A: Solo Bambini will be introducing a new shape in several sizes and more beautiful colors for the New York Show in 2013.
Q: What are three items you can’t live without?
A: My phone, my wife, and the excitement of a new customer/satisfied mother!
